WPX

I worked a bunch of stations during the contest.  I have a new country.  Apparently, Jersey is a country.  Well, I guess that I never had it, previously.  LoTW seems to be transferring at a very slow speed lately.  Is this just me?
I am ordering up new cycling shoes.  I seem to always go to Foot Fitness 2 in Middletown, RI for my shoes.

Today in cycling

I had a great day and rode 42 miles.  I am slowly getting into shape for some of the events such as the upcoming races.  Today, we some very interesting weather.  It never really warmed up during the morning.  It stayed cold.  I was shocked when it started to snow!  The snow did not last too long.
I have a whole bunch of LoTW confirmations from the ARRL SSB contest, already.  I already have a VK7 confirmed.  Isn’t this much better than waiting 3 years or more to receive a QSL card?  Thanks to all that are on LoTW!

SSB DX contest

I finally have worked an Australian station from the current QTH.  I finally have 6 continents worked.  I feel very successful.  There was a number of JA stations starting to bleed through QSOs in progress as the band opened up on Saturday afternoon.  Most of them were not coming in very well.  I was shocked when this VK7 station had been heard with this great signal.  It was far superior to the JA signals. I worked VK7ZE on phone around 14.213.  After I worked him he was spotted on the cluster.  I heard tons of 1 stations that were very anxious to work him.  Lots of 1 stations started calling him.
I heard KA1BQ call some of the several stations that I was working.  I tried to pull him up on 67 to tell him about 14.213.  I was not able to reach him.
I heard a bunch of Alaskan stations.  The best out of the bunch had been KL7RA. KL7RA had a great signal, but I never heard him work any 1land stations.  I tried calling him. I never broke the pile-up.
LOTW has appeared to be overloaded.  I tried sending last night’s log to the ARRL.  I did not receive any return confirmations.  So it must be overtaxed.
